Based on reviews, the claims are accurate. The desire to continue walking is increased, and the shoe design makes them comfortable to be in for hours at a time.
We also found a few reviews that the Avi-Motion Toning Shoes reduced back pain, an indication that they also help improve posture.

So what are the claims made by Sketchers?

Pretty bold, we have to admit, but based upon the reviews we read they are substantiated claims.
Everyone seemed to agree that for their price, the Shape Ups accomplish what they claim, along with being a very comfortable shoe to wear in daily activities. There were several professionals (nurses, pharmacists, etc.), who claimed they could wear their Shape Ups throughout their entire shift with continued comfort.
There are also dozens of styles and colors available, so it's easy to find a pair to go with any outfit!
#1 MBT - The Anti-Shoe
After doing all our research on Today's Hottest Toning Shoes, we have to admit that the MBT's have definitely peaked our interest.
The story begins with the creator, Karl Mueller who realized on a visit to Korea, that walking over padded fields and soft sand relieved his back pain. He then began a mission to create a shoe that simulated that effect.
Why do we tell you all this? Because it is the primary selling point of the MBT's. They are marketed heavily as the shoe to improve posture, relieve foot and back pain, and increase energy. In fact, the only claims they make to being Toning Shoes is that it is a nice side effect of wearing the shoes.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the MBT's are carving out their own niche, without trying to ride the fad wave of being the hottest toning shoes.
They are on their own mission - to help people live better, more comfortable and productive lives by selling a superior product that they know will make a difference for their customers. This is why they claim to be the Anti-Shoe.
Admittedly, there are other Toning shoes on the market, but they just don't have the hotness factor, or they have physical flaws that leave us feeling a little uncomfortable in the quality of the product (The Reebok Rock and Tone in particular).
For the Money, the above three are definitely the Hot Toning Shoes this Year.
P.S. - For some reason, the toning shoes all seem to run about a half size too small. Keep this in mind when you place your order!
